The construction of VTTI's bio-energy facility in Tilburg is in progress
Last month we started pouring the floors and walls of the fermentation tanks, while our team continues to work on the engineering. At the construction site, we have set up a temporary office to be closely involved in the project and to be able to act quickly.
The facility is expected to start up in the third quarter of 2023, and will produce green gas and organic fertilizer granules. The new installation has a nominal capacity of 17 megawatts and will generate, among other things, 23 million m3 of biogas per year. Part of the biogas is upgraded to renewable natural gas (RNG).
